What's your favorite game and why?

Journey, Portal & Portal 2, the Mass Effect series, and Left 4 Dead are among my favorites, but if I had to choose one, it would be Portal 2. All of the games in my list are amazing to look at and their gameplay is superior, but I think Portal 2 stands out for it's incredible atmosphere.

What can you contribute to our community of creation?

As a student who's just figured out I'd like to be part of the game design process, I'm not quite sure where I stand. I have been a gamer all my life, however, and have payed close attention to what works (and doesn't) for various parts of games: level design, controls, story, visuals, and sound. I try to pay attention to it all. I can do basic sketching to get down ideas, and have recorded a few concepts.

What do you expect to get out of helping to build a game?

Learning how all the pieces come together to make something awesome, and be part of that something awesome. I'd also like to pinpoint my interest in game design, and possibly even have a project I could use in a portfolio.

Tell us something super random about yourself.

When I was very young, I used to cheat at Duck Hunt by holding the light gun right on the TV screen (damn laughing dog!).

Hello! I'm Erin, a current student at WCC. It's taken me a bit to discover what I'd like to do as a career, but I'm interested in transferring to a four year college that specializes in video game design.
