The Format for these events is Draft. For the forseeable future, the draft will consist of BNG-THS-THS. Once Journey into Nyx releases, we'll probably alternate between 3 packs of that and full-block.

March 19, 2014 note from David: Hey, Planeswalkers,Dave here with your weekly update: Things are going well. Please join us Friday March 21 at 630 for FNM! Signups begin at 6 PM and it will be $12. But wait, there's more! The store has begun preregistration for the Journey Into Nyx prerelease event! To sign up, just bring yourself and your 25 bucks to the store between now and the event date (April 26th), and let us know what color you would like to play! As with all prerelease events, the format is Block Sealed. More details as they become available.Also, the store will be raising its entry fee for FNM starting April 4th. The new price will be $15. This will allow the store to better support the cost of the event, and to keep our shelves stocked with boosters and other awesome Magic stuff!There are no plans to further raise the prices; this is intended to be the long-term price point for draft events at Amazing Spiral. We also intend to keep offering a discounted entry fee of $5 to those that show up with a set of packs to draft from (2 THS, 1 BNG). Thanks.

Hi, everyone, Dave here again,

I have only two quick announcements. First, after talking with one of the players last week, and then talking with Sheldon, we've decided to offer a discount. Players who bring their own draft sets (that's three packs, and specifically this months that's 1 pack Born of the Gods and two packs Theros) will only be charged five dollars for their entry into the tournament instead of the usual twelve.

Second, we have an awesome playmat left over from Born of the Gods Game Day. You can view it here: http://i.imgur.com/63QXOEi.jpg . We have to decided to offer it as a prize to the winner of an FNM, but it will only be in the prize pool when we have twelve or more players— enough for two draft pods. As soon as we have that happen, I'll announce that we're playing for the mat. That night, at the end of the swiss rounds, we'll cut to top two to determine who wins the playmat (that player will also recieve a cut of the normal prize pool).
