What we’re about
Ganja Yoga is the original cannabis-enhanced yoga, founded by author Dee Dussault. We've been blazing and bending since 2009. This group is currently managed by 1st generation certified Ganja Yoga teacher Javiera.
Javiera is the co founder of Green Magic Yoga and with her partner Sebastián, have been integrating Yoga, Cannabis and Mindfulness creating space for healing, growth and community. As the war on drugs comes to an end we are working on building safe spaces for communities to learn, grow and heal with cannabis, mindfulness and yoga. We invite you to join this cultural and evolutionary transformation. Green Magic Yoga has been featured in Playboy, Bud.com, Psychedelic Cannabis book by Daniel McQueen among other media.
Ganja Yoga is designed for relaxation, pain-relief, well-being, community, and the cultivation of inner peace.Less physically-intense than most other yoga, Ganja Yoga is high-quality instruction, based on mindfulness and good alignment for injury-prevention, - designed for all bodies. Javi’s classes are a blend of slow vinyasa flow, relaxing vibes, grounded spirituality and a touch of latino spice. All levels are welcomed.
Dee Dussault is a yoga practitioner of twenty-three years, and her book, Ganja Yoga, was released with Harper Collins in April 2017.

FAQs
- Do I need a medical marijuana card and is cannabis provided?
Medical cards are not required in California since Prop 64, however, since it passed, we've had to become a "BYO" event." Adults are legally allowed to share, and there's always plenty to go around. - Do I have to use cannabis at Ganja Yoga?
Yoga is great, enhanced or not. Sometimes students enjoy enhancing their practice with cannabis, at other times they prefer having a yoga practice without cannabis. Some people have a CBD only practice. It's always up to you. - What do I need to bring?
Bring a yoga mat, props if you need or enjoy them (2 blocks, strap) and water bottle. - How much cannabis should I consume for this practice?
First-timers to Ganja Yoga or yoga in general might want to start slow and consume less cannabis than they usually do. See how you feel first, you can always consume a little more later or in your next class. Some people with higher tolerance levels might smoke more. Everyone's relationship to cannabis is different. Be mindful of your body, intention and usage. - Is this practice safe? What if I haven't done yoga before?
Yes, this is an all-levels gentle slow flow yoga class, oriented towards mindful awareness and relaxation. Javiera teaches yoga from a trauma-informed perspective. If you are new to yoga, we invite you to take it slow and be mindful of your body. If you have any concerns please reach out before class.

37 Yoga Alliance CEU creditsMeet Your Teacher:
Dee Dussault pioneered cannabis-enhanced yoga classes in 2009 with Ganja Yoga, featured in Wall Street Journal, New York Times, & Yoga Journal.Thousands of people, in over a dozen US states, and around the world, have blazed and bent with Dee or read her best-selling Harpercollins book, ‘Ganja Yoga.’ Hundreds of people have graduated from the Ganja Yoga Training and there are Certified Ganja Yoga Teachers worldwide!
Safer yoga:
After two decades of yoga practice, Dee suffered an injury due to misalignment in her poses. She took a year-long biomechanics training and now loves sharing new ways to approach movement on the mat.A huge part of the training is unlearning some unwise biomechanic habits that are repeated in many yoga teacher trainings. We also use props and modifications to keep our cannabis-enhanced yoga relaxing, chill, and safe for all bodies.
Also includes:
— Business Module, with info on how to skillfully make a living from this work
— I updated the History of Cannabis in Yoga module, taught by Smrita Choubey, a South Asian cannabis activist and yogi from New Jersey.
— Conversations on ways to embrace rather than culturally appropriate yoga, re-investing in our communities to counter the failed war on drugs, and working for representation, accessibility, and equality in our yoga spaces.
— 37 Yoga Alliance CEU credits
— Forever access to the digital Ganja Yoga training to watch repeatedly!TUITION
