Welcome!

This group was started because of a conversation(several actually) between a friend (Marc) and I. We discussed the difficulty of learning Chinese and finding places to speak it. Other concerns were time and expenses.

This group will be organized at first around a single monthly meeting and we'll go from there according to interest, but will maintain a simple calendar of no more than two events per month in a place that facilitates both fun and frugality.

There are no goals or commitments that need to be made, only a simple text that will be shared (for guidance) and paced at one lesson per week. The lessons will be available for downloading on the site, and we will meet to discuss them at least monthly. If you learn, it is up to you. You can do it!
