Chasing Tales - Three Episodes of Occult Investigation

The supernatural is real and you know it. In some regards, this doesn't make you that special. Lots of people claim knowledge of the supernatural these days. Most of the time you can't go a week without some new documentary or talk show purporting to seriously investigate the subject appearing on television. Psychic research funding even appears publicly in the budgets of most countries. But you are different. When other people talk about the supernatural or psychic powers they talk about it as if it were the newest fun-time topic. You've actually seen the supernatural in operation. Maybe your life was saved by an unusual event. Or maybe you faced a haunting once. There might even be something about you that's...odd. For a while you kept this to yourself, but then you met others that had similar experiences and you've all come to feel that what you've seen is just the tip of the iceberg. You have different motivations but all of you have a driving desire to investigate this mystery deeper. Most of the time you get nowhere, but you've heard of a new bit of strangeness that has gone under the radar for most people amidst the news of the earthquake in Seattle and the recent hijacking attempt in Australia. The news blurb you found called them animal attacks, but the description of the killings strikes you as wrong. Time to see if your friends are interested in pursuing this.

The characters are occult investigators in the Divine Blood universe. They are operating without the benefit of any organization or mentor. It is only blind luck that has caused them to stumble upon the supernatural, or left as an isolated supernatural themselves. Their knowledge is incomplete and their experiences are mixed, but they desire to learn more. Most of the characters should be non-psychic humans. We can talk about concepts in the comments here and I will help with details and stats via email with each participant. If you have a character concept that is supernatural in nature, run it by me but realize that no supernatural in this scenario will have good control or understanding of what they do. They've had no one to teach them after all.

For this game I will run the Divine Blood setting using Monster of the Week. Knowledge of the setting is not necessary for the players. The characters themselves won't know much about what is going on. The following playbooks are allowed no question:

The scenarios planned are focused on putting the characters in over their heads and I will be adjusting the normal game-play of Fate to simulate a more desperate sort of story. There will be three stories. You do not have to attend all three episodes and if you wish to participate you will have to RSVP for all three episodes separately. The episodes are planned to be live-streamed via G+ Hangouts Live and placed on my youtube channel.
