Asians & Friends Chicago hosts Dim Sum on the first Sunday of every month. We get tables of 10 depending on the number that shows up. Pay divided by the number at each table. We've been asking members be vaccinated with the proper boosters going into the COVID season, but hope to keep this live event going through the winter. Meet on the second-floor landing of Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, at 12:30 p.m. sharp! Paid street parking and in the lot south of the restaurant, but free on side streets. We tend to wander to a nearby LGBTQ friendly bar like SoFo at Argyle and Clark after the meal. See you soon!

May Prom Fundraiser: AFC will host its annual Pride float fundraiser on Sat., May 18, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Holiday Club, 4000 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago. Our theme will be LGBTQ Prom, to include prom-related activities, photos, and the glitz and glamour of a most flamboyant affair. Colors for Prom Night will be red, gold and white, with entertainment including a photo-op backdrop, an “Under the Sea” Pride Parade preview, Prom Court reveal, special live performances and a raffle of gift cards and novelty items. The beats will be courtesy of D.J. Ron Sager. No date needed! Come one, come all! You can purchase tickets ($25 suggested donation) on our website at afchicago.org.
