Diwali Celebration

Diwali is the Festival of Lights (Deepavali).

The main puja will include Ganesha puja, Navagraha puja (9 planets) , installation of the ten directions (Dig Devatas) and a Sampujita Sri Suktam puja where the Rg Veda Lakshmi Mantra is fenced into the Sri Suktam along with mantras from the Durga Saptasloki. This puja not only increases prosperity and abundance, but removes pain and the causes of sorrow. The Durga Saptasloki is a condensed form of the Durga Saptasati or 700 verses in praise of the Goddess victory over the forces of evil otherwise known as the Chandi. This was the puja done by Narayana to win back the heart of Sri Lakshmi, when all of his other efforts had failed.

Attendees should bring their murthis (spiritual statues) to be charged during the Rudra abhishekam that follows the main puja.
