National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade and Sakura Matsuri Street Festival

Two separate events are going on for the National Cherry Blossom Festival on April 13, 2013 - a parade going along Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Streets, and a fantastic street festival, called the Sakura Matsuri, at 12th and Pennsylvania. The Festival will feature Japanese food, performances, art and culture exhibitions, and a bustling marketplace.

The Parade starts at 10:00 AM, which is what the initial meeting time is for. We will move to the Sakura Matsuri once everyone is done with it. Since I'm assuming this will be after the parade, we will set the Matsuri meetup time at 12:15 at 12th and Pennsylvania.

Please Note: While the Parade is free, there is a $5.00 fee to get into the Sakura Matsuri. You may prepay online at http://www.sakuramatsuri.org/ or bring $5.00 cash along with you to buy a ticket. I recommend the former, because there's less of a line.
