Geek Girls Carrots London reactivation with Ember JS and Business Development!

Hey Carrots!

We are happy to announce that Geek Girls Carrots are back on the London's scene!

Geek Girls Carrots is an organisation that promotes women in IT industry and tries to encourage more females to think about career in tech. Geek Girls Carrots are present in Poland, Germany, USA, Luxembourg, France, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, Gibraltar, Israel, South Korea and Czech Republic.

Our meetings have taken place in 31 cities so far. Until 2015 we’ve conducted about 250 regular community meet-ups, hosted 551 speakers , organised 147 workshops in Python, javascript, Scrum, UX. Over 1000 participants partake in our monthly meetings across all our cities.

On the first event in 2016, we will listen to a great and successful Senior Software Engineer Daniela, who is passionate about Front - end technologies. Daniela will introduce crucial information about Ember JS which she's using for her everyday work while building web applications.

We will also have a chance to find out what is crucial in a Business Development Manager role, and how it is to be a part of a great performing Startup such as Student.com.

Our speakers:

Daniela Remogna

Daniela is from Turin, Italy and she moved to London one year and a half ago for working as front end developer in Workshare where she contributed to the development of an online document collaboration system for enterprise similar to Dropbox.

From the 1st of February 2016 Daniela is senior software engineer at Crowdstrike where she is involved in the development of Falcon Host UI - a real time anti breach, virus and malware platform.

In Italy she got a master degree in computer science at the Politecnico of Turin and she worked for an automotive company - Magneti Marelli as software architect and for an e-learning company - Docebo as full stack developer. She is really addicted to front end technologies such as javascript and its frameworks. She is continuously studying patterns for building robust web applications. In her spare time she likes cooking italian food, travelling and hiking around the world.

Marta Okonska

Marta is originally from Poland and received education in both Poland and the UK. She graduated from the University of Westminster in 2014, where she studied International Business with Spanish.

Passionate about the start-up world, she spent her recent years working for various international Start-ups in Spain and England. Her latest position was in the fastest growing and global start-up Student.com (http://student.com/), where she worked as a Business Development Manager for the European market.

Marta loves languages and traveling. She aims to develop the product and introduce it globally.
