While I'm thinking of "venues I considered for tomorrow's board game event"...
Another option was Caffe Frascati.
They have a two story building, spacious for a hang out. Parking is flat rate $7.00 (I assume there is some validation allowed also).
What kept me from choosing it for tomorrow is that it's downtown, and the event is on a Saturday. There's going to be a band there, and given where it's situated (near Tech Museum, right next to Original Joe's) it's probably gonna be pretty hopping. Probably not the best for board games with all the noise.
Still, I'm interested in visiting the place to see what the night life is like, since I've noticed some of us are wanting more night-time social events. Caffe Frascati often has live music and even an open mic night once a week. And they do serve alcohol there as well as coffee.
