I went this year; it was fun. I played Settlers of Catan for the first time, kicked ass at Munchkin and became the Wild Card in a game of Werewolves. Werewolves was exciting: it's the card game Mafia in a fantasy skin. Each round the werewolves at the table (chosen at random by how the cards are dealt) silently pick 1 player to kill while everyone else has their head down. Then there's a round of accusation, where the "townsfolk" voice their suspicions about someone in their midst and that player must defend themselves. Whether they're "lynched" or not is decided by a democratic vote. The point of the game is for either all the werewolves to kill every player who isn't one, or for all the werewolves to be found by the townsfolk and hanged. I say I was the Wild Card because I have no poker face, and every time I was a werewolf I couldn't stop giggling. So I did the opposite: I played SO LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS each round that it became impossible to predict what I was. I was the first to throw around accusations (which is a terrible idea for anyone else, because then it seems like you're trying to throw the scent off yourself) and any time I came under accusation myself I INSISTED I was a werewolf and should be killed. Why? Because there was a third card called The Tanner, whose life was so miserable that if you had that card and you died you automatically won the game. Totally threw the other players through the loop. I was always one of the last to die because no one knew how to deal with me. XD
