The GPS Arts Initiative will be holding a monthly Figure Drawing Salon. The three-hour session will include short, medium and long poses, which allow artists to engage with the subject in varying ways. We will use a combination of nude and costumed models to support and foster fantasy and science fiction art.

Through this Figure Drawing Salon, we hope to cultivate a community of artists to share ideas, support each other, and create.

When: The Figure Drawing Salon will be held on the 3rd Monday of every month from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Where: Event Horizon Classroom (room 106A) 1121 Jackson St NE, Minneapolis

Staff: Arkady Roytman will moderate the figure drawing session. Arkady has moderated figure-drawing sessions at the Society of Illustrators in New York City for five years. He also attends weekly figure drawing sessions and has been doing so for over ten years.

There is a nominal fee of $5 to help defray the cost of models and other initial outlays.

This is an 18+ event.
