This is a free informational session for parents, teachers, rec center coordinators, librarians, and anyone else interested in finding out more about our educational grants program (we have money, and we want to spend it on kids) and how they can take advantage of it. Know of anyone who may be interested? Please help us spread the word! It’s at 6:30 pm in room 107, Event Horizon in the Waterbury.
Project Lighthouse works with local museums and programs who have traveling education units, including the nationally recognized University of Minnesota Raptor Center (http://www.raptor.cvm.umn.edu/) and the Minnesota Science Museum (http://www.smm.org/). Other programs we work with include the Minnesota ZooMobile (http://mnzoo.org/education/zoomobile/), the Bakken Museum (http://www.thebakken.org/), the MN Herptological Society (http://www.mnherpsoc.com), the works museum (https://www.theworks.org/), Mad Science (http://mn.madscience.org/), Rand's Robotics, and Como Zoo (http://www.comozooconservatory.org/). There will be representatives from some of our program providers to give short demonstrations of their presentations and answer questions.
