In our first Geektalks meetup, we will host the founders of Buffer, a successful US based consumer social media startup that managed to raise 400k, get  to a million users and even acquire a competing company (Sharefeed), all in less than a year.

The Founders of Buffer, Leo Widrich and Joel Gascoigne will share the story behind buffer, including how they built the platform in less then 3 days, how the planned their marketing strategy and what they have learned along the way.

I think all the main things they said are summarized in two articles the gave links to:
    http://blog.bufferapp.com/idea-to-paying-customers-in-7-weeks-how-we-did-it

And here is a summary with two other links. Very short summary sorry:

Did anyone take notes - and would they be willing to share them?

This was an excellent, inspiring and well presented talk. Kudos to Buffer team for their lean, focused and above all cool approach.

Thanks Yaniv for organizing this. I would suggest that for next meetup: dafuq is the Video thing? Putting the talk online would be awesome. I can bring the camera, if needed.

Highly informative and yet straight to the point.

Think there should have been some registration at the place (maybe even make people wear some name tags - nothing fancy, just a simple sticker could be fine).
