Geekon Talk presents: Is your company really set up to innovate?

  • October 17, 2013 · 10:00 AM

Technology Executive and Innovator, Julia Austin, asks the question.... Is your company really set up to innovate?

Summary: Innovation is really another word for creativity. So when a company launches an innovation program, or even goes so far as to appoint or hire someone to lead their innovation efforts, what they’re attempting to say is, “We are a creative organization that wants to foster and support creative stuff.” But the big question is, are they set up to succeed in making that statement a reality?

Come here Julia talk about ways to ensure your innovation program is the best and creative.

About the Speaker: Julia was the VP of Innovation at VMware and focused on advancing VMware into new technology and product areas. This includes internal programs to foster and fund new innovations and the VMware Academic Program (VMAP) which sponsors collaborative research and thought leadership with academic partners. She was also the Site Director for the VMware Cambridge research lab. Julia has over 20 years of extensive experience managing technology teams in both mature and start-up organizations.
