What flavor of Geek/Nerd variant do you consider yourself to be? What kind of social happenings best fit into your particular theme of un-conforming?

Probably more of a dork than anything else; my geek technical knowledge is definitely lacking. I love bad (and good) movie nights, reading groups, and low-stress walks and hikes with beverages and movies/board games afterwards.

Are you a Social Butterfly? Do you play well with others? Do you enjoy meeting new people? If so, would you be willing to help out our Nerd Posse leadership team with regularly recurring activities by occasionally hosting events at public locations?

Gawd, I butterfly about as well as a rhino with a case of gigantism in the ass. So, uhh...that's probably a no. But it might become a yes if I can attend some meets and get over some of my shyness.

When you finally discovered this group after an arduous quest thru Meetup for a flock of odd ducks who naturally “get” your unique brand of slightly off, did you squeal like a piglet, do a happy dance, then have to adjust your glasses? (BE HONEST!)

No, but I'm pretty sure I got a warm fuzzy. And that's better than a cold prickly any day of the week, right? (PLEASE tell me that someone in this group is old enough to get that reference.) Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? :crickets chirping: Ye gods, I'm lame. >.<

Introduction

Glasses-wearing, face-fuzz-sporting dork, lover of console games, short story writing, and love of all things horror (ask me about my horror movie collection). Also fond of theme parks and roller coasters, always looking for fellow ride enthusiasts.
