We will explore a basic overview of what tools (software/hardware) are required to produce a successful 3d printed object and the process one follows to accomplish that task! The instructor will demonstrate the design of some simple 3d objects and will discuss various stages of layout of a sample case for a project using open source tools. The instructor will be using both SketchUp and 123D Design for the design aspects of the class.
You will need to have your own laptop with the software pre-loaded if you want to follow along with the design parts of the class.
This class will focus on 3D design and there will be a 1 hour workshop following for those members and guests who want to use the GG 3D Printer.
