Geekspace Gwinnett has reached another milestone: we are now accepting monetary donations AND Charter Member Dues.
We are now accepting tax-deductible donations through our fiscal sponsor, School Factory, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides sponsorship to Hackerspaces across the country.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the initial build-out. That will cover the costs of the lease's security deposit, utility deposits and infrastructure expenses.
If you have pledged already, you should have received an invitation to the "geekspace-members" mailing list on Google Groups. That is the members-only mailing list where most of our planning will take place.
If you have pledged, Charter Dues are now due. There are currently three ways to pay your December dues:
* See an officer at one of our weekly Meet & Greets (details on meetup
). We can accept cash, check or Credit Cards via Square
* Send a check (made out to Geekspace Gwinnett, Inc.) to: 4235 Hidden Meadow Circle Sugar Hill, GA 30518
If you haven't pledged yet, now is the time. Send your name, email address and phone number to [address removed] or see us at an event.
Charter memberships will be open from now until the day we open the doors on the space for build-out (January) or until we hit the 40-member mark, whichever comes first.
Charter memberships are $50 per month payable month-to-month or up to a year in advance.
The first month of memberships begins on December 1st. Any memberships paid for after that will be due 30 days from whatever your first day is.
Every month of dues paid now helps us build the capital needed to secure the lease on the space!
After that, memberships will still be $50 per month, but we will require the first three month's dues paid up-front. That's so we know you're serious about committing to the space and that you'll stick around!
Be sure to join us for one of our weekly Meet & Greets, they're the best way to get to know your fellow Makers!
