The first of our Nonprofit Meetups, this will be an hour of discovery about a local organization called The Resource Exchange.
The mission of The Resource Exchange is to promote reuse recycling and resource conservation by diverting valuable materials from the waste stream by redirecting them to artists, builders, educators, and the general public.

There will be a tour of the facility, a short talk from Executive Director of The Resource Exchange, Karyn Gerred, followed by time for the group to talk and get to know each other.
Learn more about the good that's going on right here in our city, how they do it and meet other socially conscious Philadelphians.
Afterwards, meet us at The Memphis Taproom for a drink and more socializing and networking!
*Note: The entrance to The Resource Exchange is on Cambria Street. Look for the sign with the Generocity logo!
Anyone have any info about parking in the area (aka, is there street parking available)? Trying to decide if I want to drive or bus it :)
Hi Sara,
There's plenty of parking around there, so you'll be in good shape!
Everyone - just as a heads up - as you can see in the pics above, The Resource Exchange is a warehouse, and there's no heat. It looks like the weather's not going to be frigid, so we should be in good shape but we wanted to make sure everyone knows what to expect!
Thanks so much to everyone who was able to attend the Meetup last night! We had a great time, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed learning about The Resource Exchange - please tell all your friends about it, so we can support this neighborhood treasure!
Stay tuned for news about the next Meetup on March 14th at the Urban Affairs Coalition.
