Membership in the Geneva Area Pond Club is free and open to all, whether your pond is large, small, or not yet built. We meet in one another's homes and gardens on both the first and third Sundays of every month throughout the year. We share advice based on our ponding experiences, and freely exchange our excess pond fish, water plants and pond equipment. Discussions at our free informal meetings are in English and French, and stimulated with generous quantities of snacks and drinks. Everyone is welcome, so bring along some interested neighbors to meet the club's friendly members.

The pond club schedules several meetings per month in spring, summer and autumn, but our garden ponds, pond fish and pond plants go into hibernation every winter. Some pond owners stop thinking about water gardening in winter, and seem to go into hibernation as well. But the rest of us--especially those who have made very close friendships in the pond club over the years--don't want to wait until spring to see one another. Read more

What members are saying

Ne pas faire des erreurs lors de la réalisation d'un rêve de découverte et d'un arvre de paix.

Club members that we met ranged in age from their 20s to their 80s, but all seem to have a youthful attitude, eager both to learn and to pass on information about this fascinating hobby.

“We have a pond that we wanted to make into more of a biotope, but neither of us are very knowledgeable. We're in the vineyards outside Rolle and very keen to learn from you!”
