This month it's back to one of our favorite topics - and a gift that keeps on giving: Data!

• Matt McNabb of FirstMileGeo (https://www.firstmilegeo.com/). While FirstMileGeo has a data analytics platform, they also recently launched a global data collection survey service.

• Kalev Leetaru founder of GDELT (http://www.gdeltproject.org/#intro). The GDELT Project monitors the world's broadcast, print, and web news from nearly every corner of every country in over 100 languages and identifies the people, locations, organizations, counts, themes, sources, emotions, counts, quotes and events driving our global society every second of every day, creating a free open platform for computing on the entire world.

• Jubal Harpster founder of SpatialDev (http://spatialdev.com/) will give a talk titled "Why the ecosystem of Open Source mobile data collection sucks and what we’re doing about it"
