What makes you a geonerd?

I've been into maps for my whole life but just started training for a new career in GIS analysis. I'd like to work on spatial ecology and biogeography; specifically to better visualize species distributions across landscapes and time. In June, I drove across the country and made maps for myself of the different ecoregions along the way to help me see the boundaries and ecotones between them. If that doesn't make me a geonerd, then nothing will.

I've been taking GIS classes after years studying paleontology in grad school.
