I switched gears from engineering to geospatial during my freshman year because it fascinated me. I have always loved maps and delving so much deeper into how they are used and created has been an incredibly educational and enjoyable line of study and work. I particularly like digitizing features and creating actual cartography, though the general applications of emote sensing are also really intriguing. Outside of professional map usage, I simply enjoy exploring, navigating, and reading maps. Geography is just naturally very interesting to me!
My name is Jessica Bohrer and I am an alumna of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Geospatial and Environmental Analysis and Minors in Classical History and French. My favorite hobbies include blogging, baking, hiking, and reading. I love D.C.!
