IREG event main page

We are having presentations by those who are actively developing and providing amazing applications, tools, and data. From Web Maps to data APIs, from data visualization to GitHub, and even the cloud! We are hoping that people will walk away with a better understanding, skill, or interest in these areas. There will also be a CartoDB workshop from 4-5 following the presentation. So please come join us and be ready to learn!

This FREE event will run from 10:20 am to 5 pm and include lunch. Seating is limited to 75.

Interesting presentations. Some speakers could use more guidance on audience. There were not enough women or people of color speaking or attending.

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your comment. This type of balance is indeed something that's important and necessary for technical events. We are certainly aware of the historical imbalances in the technology industry (though I tend to think GIS is better than other sectors) and attempt to recruit from all communities - eg, Girl Develop It, etc. We can hope that by being as inclusive as we can, more women and people of color are inspired to enter computational fields and also speak at events like this!

Yes, kudos to Sarah and Chris Pollard for helping myself and a few others attend who had RSVP'd but not registered. I enjoyed the variety of content in the presentations. In addition, Andrew Hill gave a great walk through of CartoDB at the end of the day. I am now eager to try it myself.

Lots of good content; was a bit thrown off by same problem Jane add; you had to use ticket leap as well RSVP'ing. Thanks to Sarah & Chris for fixing.

RSVPing to this meet up was not enough. If you did not register through TicketLeap, you are not registered for this event. It is sold out, so it is too late to register now.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
