Philly Tech Week: Balloon Image Stitching & Rig Party!

Details
This is the evening event associated with the Balloon Mapping Launch during Philly Tech Week (https://www.meetup.com/GeoPhilly/events/220196293/)! You don't need to attend both events, but if you'd like to, you will need RSVP for both. RSVP for the morning event here (https://www.meetup.com/GeoPhilly/events/220196293/)(There is a $5 fee for the morning).
Following the morning's balloon launch, we will be meeting for a “stitching party”, where we’ll use open source software, MapKnitter (http://mapknitter.org/), to “stitch” our images together and make maps. We will also provide instruction and materials for you to build your own camera rig for future balloon or kite mapping. We’ll also have pizza for the evening event!
Read more about balloon mapping and example uses on The Public Laboratory's website (http://publiclaboratory.org/tool/balloon-mapping). To get a feel for what comes out of a balloon launch, take a look at what Sean McGinnis (posts (http://publiclab.org/profile/SeanKMcGinnis) and events (http://publiclab.org/wiki/philadelphia)) and Dana Bauer (images/video (https://www.flickr.com/photos/dbauer/sets/72157633311713745/)) have done in past years.
