Too often getting healthy can seem like a chore. I spent too much time obsessively visiting the gym, working out on a routine and just 'pounding out' the workouts. Yes, there is a place and time for running and lifting weights; but an active lifestyle can and should be enjoyable.
This group will focus more on fun activities that are also a good workout. From hiking to tennis; swimming to rollerblading; backpacking to training for a marathon; we'll do it all!
Join up, suggest an activity and we'll get it planned! The one requirement for this group would be this: consistency. If you have a weight goal, be consistent. You'll find a group of willing and supportive individuals here (of all shapes and sizes) but nobody can motivate you but yourself.
So, if you're in shape and want to have fun, out of shape and want to get there, or somewhere in between, join up and get moving!
NOTE - Post ideas and suggestions in the message board. Do you have access to a fun place to play? Expert on a hiking trail that you'd like to share with others? Know a rare and obscure sport that you'd like to teach others to play? Have a goal to meet and want a daily workout partner? Either or, write about it in the message board, you never know who's looking ;)
