Thank you so much for looking into the Get Trapped in a Book Writing Group.
Writing a book can be lonely and intimidating when you are trying to go it alone, but often when writers get together they do more talking than writing.
This is a group to fill in the gap. It is for writers who would like the structure and energy of working around other writers, but don't want the time to be spent in time-killing chit-chat.
Writers meet at Starbucks across from Bay Brook Mall. We can sit together or you can find a place on one of the easy chairs or get your own table. I try to snag the big table if I can and run an extension cord for everyone's laptops.
At the main table, please be quiet and respect your work and other people's boundaries and the need to concentrate.
When you need a break or want to socialize with other writers, please feel free to leave the table and grab some coffee and have a chat.
The focus is to get out of neutral, feel the support and energy of other writers and get to work on dreaded manuscript in a comfortable environment.
While networking is encouraged (away from the main table where people are working) this is not a critique group or plotting party or a brainstorming session or a writing class.
You CAN get your book finished! Magic happens when writers come together.
I appreciate each and every one of you and I'm so glad you are here to build a strong writing community with an overflow of positive vibes so that you can get that project moving forward.
Hope to see you soon!
8am to Noon at Starbucks. Hope to see you there!

“ If they are serious about finishing their novel. ”
“ There's nothing like seeing other people write to make you want to write, too. It's fellowship that doesn't require talking. ”
