Spring Swing Fling at Case Western Reserve University!

*CWRUswing (Case Western Reserve University swing club) is throwing an awesome swing dance workshop! We're bringing in instructors Mark Calkins and Shannon Varner from Columbus to teach some fun Lindy technique workshops.

After a dinner break, we welcome the George Foley quintet to the stage to play out the night.

The two lessons will start and 4pm and go until 6. They are $10 each.

There will be a beginner lesson before the dance from 7pm until George Foley begins at 8. This dance is also $10 entry.

Dance admission is free to Case/CIA/CIM students.

The address for the gym is 2128 Adelbert Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106. The red boxes on the maps are the gym, and the circles are where we have reserved free parking for everyone! It's an easy walk across the bridge. We love everyone so much that we reserved a free parking lot for you!

Note: The two lessons with Mark and Shannon will focus on technique, therefore you must already know and be able to comfortably dance Lindy swing outs and basics moves.

Note 2: There is a shoe restriction in the gym. We worked really hard to get Case Western to allow us to use it, and we are the only non-sport group to have received the privilege. So, please, NO MARKING SOLES for the workshop AND the dance. Shoes that are acceptable: sueded soles, keds, converse, among others. Shoes that are not accepted: hard soled men's shoes, heels with a hard sole, stilettos, etc. We will be checking shoes at the door!
