GetHiking! on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail at Sauratown

Details
The Corridor Trail at Pilot Mountain State Park.
(moderate, 6.6 +/- miles one-way hike)
I NEED A VOLUNTEER TO HELP PROVIDE A CAR SHUTTLE
Please contact me thru MeetUp if you are able to help.
We'll hike from the Hauser Road Parking lot to the Surry Line Parking Lot and shuttle back to Hauser by car. The trail bed should be easy but I've only hiked the first 2 miles of this trail. The elevation gain is about 200 to 300 feet. I'd suggest a rating of moderate mainly due to the length. We'll hike a leisurely pace, take breaks for rest, photos, admiring nature's beauty and/or snacks as needed.
MEETING PLACE
Meet in the Hauser Road Parking Lot. Copy & paste the GPS coordinates for an exact location. We'll leave the parking lot as soon as everyone has arrived so please be on time.
NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail (http://www.ncmst.org/) (MST)
The 1,150 mile MST starts atop Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains and ends at Jockey's Ridge at the Outer Banks. The MST follows several trails inside Hanging Rock SP. This hike is a continuation of my 2015 MST hikes. I've not completed the Greensboro Watershed & Hanging Rock MST sections. I plan to schedule more hikes in the near future to explore off-road MST sections from Horne Creek near Pilot Mountain all the way through Hanging Rock State Park. After we complete the Sauratown sections I hope to explore the Haw River area and then the Durham to Raleigh sections. I'm open to suggestions.
WHAT TO BRING
Sturdy hiking shoes (waterproof preferable). Rain shell just in case. Snacks, if you want & lots - LOTS - of water. It will be cooler when we start but hot when we finish.
RSVP QUESTION
The night before the hike I'll email attendees my cell number. Unexpected events may make it necessary for the hike leader to contact you directly by cell phone up to the time of the hike. The RSVP process asks for your cell phone for this purpose. The only person who sees your answer is the hike leader.
The only reason I've limited the number of hikers is that my van will hold 6 people. If the hike is full please go on the wait list. I may be able to arrange another shuttle if I can get another volunteer driver.
