It's been pointed out that we haven't done a night hike in a bit, so let's do one Wednesday. We'll hike our old favorite, the 2.2-mile stretch (4.4 out-and-back) of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail heading out of the Upper Barton Creek Boat Ramp off Six Forks Road in Raleigh. With the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, we'll head into sunset on the out, hike back in dark. Headlamps are required; yell if you need one; I have some loaners. This hike usually takes two hours; the terrain is rolling, with a quick, steep climb or two. The trail is moderately rocky and rooty. This would fall into the moderately difficult category.
