Anti Cruelty Society's 17th Annual "Bark in the Park"

Bark in the Park is a 5K/3.1 mile walk—with or without your dog to raise funds and awareness for The Anti-Cruelty Society: Chicago’s oldest and largest, open-admission, animal welfare organization.
Date: Saturday, May 7th, 2011
Location: Montrose Harbor in Chicago (exit 4400 north Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, head east to the Lake and look for the tents)
Registration: 7 a.m.
Walk Steps off: 9 a.m.
Cost: In Advance - Adults $25, Kids $20
Event Day - Adults $30, Kids $25

The first Bark in the Park was held on May 7, 1994, with 867 participants
(and 700 dogs) who raised $59,000 for the animals.
Bark in the Park 16 was held May 1, 2010 with 3,275 participants and almost 3,000 dogs—raising over $260,000 for the animals.
Over the past 16 years, Bark in the Park's Supporters (some 49,401 humans
and 40,560 dogs) have raised an astonishing $3,178,006!
Since the first Bark in the Park, The Anti-Cruelty Society:
• Has found homes for 92,000 animals
• Our veterinarians have performed 139,000 spay or neuter surgeries
• Presented humane messages to 366,000 children and community members
• Our humane investigatorshave responded to 33,919 cruelty complaints
