Details

Trailhead
The preserve is located off US Route 201 in Topsham. Coming from the south on US Route 201, turn left onto Bradley Pond Road about 5.5 miles north of the Frank Wood Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham. Continue for a half mile. The road turns into dirt and curves to the left toward the end. There are two parking spaces near the left turn and more down the hill on the left, next to the information kiosk. Park only in designated parking areas, as the land is privately owned.

Description

The Preserve’s hardwood and softwood forests, marshes, open fields, pond, and river offer visitors a quiet rural experience near busy Topsham and downtown Brunswick. The property’s diverse habitat is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Waterfowl feed on the pond and nest along the river. Herons, egrets, and ibis visit the marshes while warblers, owls, hawks, chickadees, nuthatches, and other forest birds make their home in the woods. The Preserve is visited by whitetail deer, moose, fox, raccoon, fisher, and many other mammals.
