If you are not a Girl Develop It member and would like to attend - please RSVP to our Facebook event (https://www.facebook.com/events/919766258132194/).
Everyone is welcome to attend this event.
This event will connect Girl Develop It and Turing students and graduates, as well as other job seekers in the community, with companies in Denver/Boulder looking to fill development and engineering positions.
Girl Develop It and Turing are empowering a diverse group of members with in-demand skill sets, but what do you do after you've learned all the skills you need? Local businesses that depend on engineering for innovation and growth are struggling to find qualified candidates for development positions – especially women. So, let's all hang out and meet each other.
A new kind of career networking event:
There will be no HR recruiters collecting resumes, no one handing out pamphlets, and best of all - no reason to dress up in your interview best. You'll meet development team members from real companies in the Denver/Boulder area. You'll get to know the developers you'll be working alongside, before you even show them your resume. This is a night of networking with talented people free of the job fair intimidation.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
Bring yourself and a positive attitude! No need to bring your resume, since this is a casual networking event without all the pressure of a job fair. You should also come hungry - because there's free food!
FOOD AND DRINK
Food will be provided by Torchy’s Tacos and beer will be provided by Bull & Bush. There will also be a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
HOSTED BY:

Turing's seven-month instructional program is carefully crafted to prepare high-aptitude individuals for careers as software developers. Beyond simple Rails applications, Turing students master Test-Driven Development, build and consume APIs, implement systems of coordinating applications, and understand strong Object-Oriented design.
