• What do you need to know before building a web site? What language should you use and what are the differences?

This was a great meetup, educational and good for networking with other women who are currently in Web development and who are interested in getting more into Web development. Clarified the different people/functions in web development very well.

I just found out about this class today & I am disappointed it is full! Since there is such a long waiting list, is there any chance the class will be offered again soon?

    April 25

    • Laura

Hi Susan, yes, we plan to offer it again. I don't know for sure how soon, but we will offer it as soon as possible. The computer lab only holds a limited number of people. I wish we could have a bigger class!

  • Jessica H.

I went ahead and changed my RSVP too since it seems others need to go more and I'm not a beginner. I'll try to catch a future meeting! :)

    April 23

    • Laura

Thanks Jessica. That's very kind of you to give your spot away to a beginner. Looking forward to meeting you at a Code&Coffee or another upcoming class! With your degree you'd be a great fit for a TA or to teach a class someday, would you be interested in either of those?

      1 · April 24

    • Jessica H.

It's not a problem! I was really looking to brush up and meet like minded individuals. I could definitely help out as a TA, for the time being. I'd really like to see how the classes function before making a jump to teaching.

  • Keisha P

Hey ladies! Have any spaces become available?

    April 22

    • Laura

I'm glad you were able to get a spot in the class. See you Saturday!

  • Patrice

Hi! I changed my RSVP and there is now a spot available. I will wait for the HTML/CSS class.

  • Amanda S.

Sad face :-( Wishing this wasn't full.

Undoubtedly a silly question but laptops allowed for easier note taking? I'm a far quicker typist than writer!

    1 · April 9

    • Michelle

Hi Jessica! There will actually be computers in the lab for you to use, so no need to bring a laptop unless you prefer to use your own machine.

    • Jessica H.

      All right, thanks, Michelle. :)

Good morning. Can't seem to locate the Amazon pay link/button. Help?

    Thanks,

It's classes like this that sort of make me wish I was just getting into dev. There are so many more great resources for starting out than there were 6 years ago! Great class idea!

    • Erika C.

Agreed, and I only started 3 years ago! I'm so excited about this class! :)
