Looking to learn how to not only design but implement an entire site to it's finished state? This will be the first section of a summer long series to design, build and create a CMS for a local nonprofit and possibly others. We'll be pairing up and going through design concepts, importance of design, imagery and marketing themes to mock up a final concept that our first nonprofit, a local women's group, will choose from.
Our next series will be intermediate HTML/CSS and some jQuery where we'll flesh out the winning design in the browser.
The final part of the series will deal with version control ( git ), databases and learning templating within a CMS as we convert our site and deploy it for use by our nonprofit.
