Isn't it sexist to only allow women, such dbl standards

Hi Jay, this group and our events are not "women only". In fact, I believe we have about 3 men attending this event.

Jay, I am going to this event and am definitely male. I think it is great that the women in Ottawa are getting together and doing something. I think it is even more special that they've made it easy for women to join and learn. Only thing they've asked is that I get a +1 pass from one of the participants.
So, stop complaining. Make a friend in the group. Ask to be there +1 and come contribute to the group. :) Look forward to seeing you at the next one.

Couldn't make it last night, is there any way to get the notes and code like you mentioned above?

    Thanks.

Hi Peggy, yes I can send out the slides and files to everyone. I'm just waiting on Suzan to send me her completed stylesheet from last night's class.

Some good tips, but I wish they had told us how to leave notes in HTML at the beginning instead of the end. A little fast when explaining and then too much leg time in the middle. Fun atmosphere and extremely nice teachers.

Great atmosphere, organized slides and very helpful teacher assistants! I'm glad that you also have office hours after the workshop. I'll be back to learn more. Thank you GDI Ottawa!

HTML was very basic (no complaints, good to have a refresher!), looking forward to CSS!

Great slides! so helpful to have each thing broken down. The presenter sometimes went a little fast when she would enter in her code and then flip too fast to the browser and I found it hard to see what code she had entered when she would do this. Also, the large monitors made it hard to see the projector screen. I would like to understand more about how you need to set up the directories on your computer for images. It was great that this was done for us, but I wouldn't know how to set this up on my own and then write the code to insert an image.
