If you've ever been curious about Linux, what it is, how to install it, etc., this is for you! We'll even help you create a "live USB" that you can boot from to try Linux on your own computer without the commitment of installing.

TriLUG (the Triangle Linux Users Group) and A Small Orange Hosting have both offered to co-sponsor this event. We'll kick the day off with some talks from TriLUG ladies to give you an overview of Linux and answer questions you may have.

After talks, we'll give you a live USB with the latest version of Ubuntu (the soon to be released 13.04) and you'll have a chance to play around. You can boot from the USB and experiment without making any changes to your current OS or hard drive. If anyone does want to install Ubuntu (or any other distro for that matter) we'll have folks on hand to help out.

We'll also be having food! Details are TBD, but please let me know in advance if you have any special dietary needs.
