Introduction to JavaScript - September Session

Class will meet on Wednesdays from 7-9 at Filter Digital. Due to the restrictions of Meetup's registration, we can't schedule multi-day events, so keep in mind that this Meetup event serves as registration and payment for the entire course.
Course Description: Javascript is an important language in modern web development. It gives developers a greater degree of control over web pages for creating interactive interfaces and dynamic content. In this class we will provide you with some of the basics of programming, using JavaScript to manipulate websites and how the basics needed to start on the path of becoming a great web developer.
This 4-class Schedule:
Class 1: Intro to JavaScript Wednesday, September 4 from 7:00 - 9:00pm
Class 2: Arrays, Loops and Objects Wednesday, September 11 from 7:00 - 9:00pm
Class 3: The Document Object Model and Events Wednesday, September 18 from 7:00 - 9:00pm
Class 4: Forms, Data Access, and Libraries Wednesday, September 25 from 7:00 - 9:00pm
What to expect: Students will exit this class having a good grasp of basic programming principles and the knowledge of how to manipulate HTML elements. Each week concepts will be reinforced through hands on, in-class exercises.
Class preparation: We suggest having a working knowledge of HTML as a prerequisite for this course. You don't need to be an expert, but an understanding of tags, attributes and how to they interact with CSS are expected to fully participate. If you do not have an understanding of how to write and build a web page using HTML and CSS please consider taking our Intro to HTML/CSS course first.
