WEBINAR - GlobalNet21 Becoming Involved.

  • May 28, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • Online Meeting

Three times a year we hold network and development meetings where those who attend can discuss the development of GlobalNet21, talk about their ideas and discuss how they might help.

In the month following we now hold a webinar so that those who missed the meeting or could not attend have a chance to talk about some aspect of our development online through our webinar platform. We also welcome those who joined that meeting so they can tell us about what they have done and their future plans.

At this webinar we would like to discuss our new website and how you can become involved in that by writing blogs, starting or joining groups and generally getting discussion going. We would also like to see if you want to help with some of the organising and volunteer activities and if so then in what way.

We would also love to hear your ideas about future events like meetings, house meetups and study circles.

So please join in this webinar and discuss how we can develop our network together so that we can involve more people and expand the public square of discussion and debate.

Although membership of our site is free we do expect all those who attend our events to pay an annual subscription that covers attendance not just one meeting but also to the vast majority of our meetups and webinars for any one year. It also allows you to bring one guest free to every meeting or webinar.

The subscription is £10 a year for those who commit to a recurrent annual payment for the next three years. During that time the price will not go up. For those who want to pay for one year only then it will be £12 for this year.

Both of the above applies to those who pay in advance by paypal, eventbrite or by cheque. For those who pay at the door or after the event then the subscription will be £15

If you are unable to pay online this way can you please let us know and we will make other arrangements. Also we never refuse membership to anyone who is unable to pay so please let us know if there are difficulties this way and you will still be able to join in.

It was a useful session, I think. We resolved to try out some other forms of multi-person online meetings such as Google Hangouts, for example, as a useful tool for teams that want to work on a Something. I am to talk with Francis and Christina about this. We'll keep you informed as things progress.
