GlobalNet21 Africa & Changemakers Group

  • December 9, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

An informal, exploratory meeting to reflect on what we learned at November’s inspirational session with John Dada from Fanstuam Foundation and Dadamac meeting - and decide what to do about it..

We will consider:

• What would people like from the group

• How best to share the expertise and good practice in the group

• What resources are available to help us understand the issues

• The best format(s) for the group - online, face-to-face, presentations, structured discussions, joint projects

• How best can the model described by John, and similar ones, be replicated elsewhere

Everyone welcome!

Janet

    We talked about ICT based resources for education - so when I got this email I thought you might like to see it and consider joining the webinar:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A lot of people there expressed an interest in not re-inventing the
    wheel; NetHope and Ustad Mobile have a webinar this Thursday 4pm UK time
    that will show you what you need to get started making your own
    mLearning/eLearning materials using pre-made open source wheels:
    Sorry there were some problems about the location. This is a new group within GN21 and we are still learning how to go about things. Janet sent out details last week to all who had registered. When I saw Christelle's request for the address yesterday I realised it needed to go out again to people registering belatedly, so I sent an email then to everyone who had registered. It will be easier for the January meeting as that will be in a public venue. Hope to see you all then.
    Sorry, I did not attend the event, the address was never emailed to me. Would be grateful if you could check that there is no one attending posing as me. I have not attended any meeting or webinar the whole of this year.
    Useful discussion about how we will develop the group. Looking forward to lots of useful links on http://etherpad.openstewardship.net/gn21-africa-20--201 and our discussion on 29th December at 7pm online.
      The location will be at a private house. I suggest you say that you are coming and then you will be sent the address near the time. After that, if you find that you won't be able to get there (or will have to arrive a bit late) we will understand.
    I missed the November session, I hope this wouldn't be an issue for me to attend? Thank you.
      Many thanks Pamela. I have watched the video and can also do a bit of research online on the foundation.
