That's me on the left. My 50th birthday party. I am a 53 year old male who loves cats. I am a Librarian at London Met Uni, Aldgate, and have been a political activist in the Peace, Green, anti-racism, socialist and women's rights movements since 1975. I try to live my beliefs and am anti-materialist and do not fly or drive. I like to partake of nonviolent direct action but my epilepsy can make this difficult. Difficult to know what else to say : have a look at my FB profile. Member of CND, CAAT, War Resister's International, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Amnesty International, EXIT and various others. Enthusiastic supporter of Good Gifts especially at Christmas.
Discussions, debates, films and video's aimed at taking actions of one sort or another.
I have been a public speaker for many years in general meetings, group meetings, schools, university, political party meetings, OXFAM, and others and many others. I will gladly faciltate a meeting if I can remember to shut myself up. I have been involved in discussions and debates over the web but I sometimes find these hard as people seem unable to hold reasoned discussion and drop to insulting one another - at which point I drop out.
At the moment I could not host a Group Meeting in my own home although I should probably like to in the future. As to topic, I would like to get to know more about GlobalNet21 and see what you are interested in.
I could probably email my entire address book to tell people about it, talk about it on my Facebook page, and advertise it at the University through my work itself and through my Trade Union and the Students Union.
