Nov 13: GothamGo Kickoff - Golang Static Analysis Tools and Benchmarking Go
Details
We're kicking off the GothamGo conference in style, with a great pre-conference GoLang NYC meetup. Join us for a couple of great Go talks from Golang experts Google's Alan Donovan and Aerospike's Brian Bulkowski. We'll meet at 6:30 and the talks will begin at 7 PM.

Thank you StackExchange for hosting this meetup for us! Please bring an ID, folks. GothamGo will provide drinks and pizza.
1st Talk: Go Static Analysis Tools: In this talk, Alan Donovan will give a guided tour of several static analysis tools designed to help Go programmers understand, navigate and refactor their code; describe the design of the building blocks from which these tools are composed; and explain some of the technical challenges that Go presents to tool developers.
Alan Donovan has been at Google NYC since 2005, working mainly on software development tools. Since joining the Go team in 2012, he's found the open-source lifestyle a refreshing change, and has been developing Go's static analysis libraries and tools, including oracle, godoc -analysis, and gorename.
2nd Talk: Benchmarking Go: Review profiling tools for Go and Linux and go into specifics on micro benchmarks for goroutines, channels, buffers, and and other Go features. Results will be presented of specific language features to guide in Go application writing, including some comparisons with other languages. Brian Bulkowski has 25 years of experience writing high performance real-world software in routers, video insertion devices, embedded systems, and currently with the database company Aerospike.
See you there!
