Go WOW Team loves all women who strive to be athletic. We walk, we run walk, and we run. Saturdays at Sawyer Camp focus on running FAST and include our new partner, the Bay Area Women's Racing Federation.

If you want to try out some speed in your workout, come check us out. We are mainly older (40 - 70 at present) so speed is a relative thing...

Sawyer Camp is a favorite and, once you've been here you'll see why. It's only about 20 minutes south of San Francisco and about 30 minutes north of San Jose so the location is quite convenient for almost all of us.

WOW currently meets here every two weeks.

Sawyer Camp offers a scenic, safe trail, and has the miles marked. What more could we ask for! The terrain is varied enough that it doesn't get boring, yet it is mainly flat (slightly rolling) and, the surface is paved with packed dirt on the side. We currently run or run/walk. Our goal is 60 minutes or more. The pace is mid-distance speed. We're trying to work on our tempo pace.

You can run or run/walk but you want to be able to move at a good clip with the intention to push the pace.

WOW Saturday runs focus on intermediate, experienced running (or run/walking) for women while our Sunday workouts include walkers, walk/runners, and runners from novice to experienced ability.

Our Saturday Sawyer Camp group is geared to a goal oriented woman who already has some speed and race experience and is able to make a commitment to herself and her team mates to push each other.

Our Sunday Group has a broader focus and encourages all abilities. On Sundays, WOW welcomes 20 minute/mile fitness walkers through 8 minute/mile marathoners. If you can move for 60 minutes, at any pace, you will feel comfortable in our Sunday Group.

Saturday at Sawyer Camp workouts for intermediate, experienced runners or run/walkers

  • Do you already workout for 30 - 60 minutes, at least 3 times a week?
  • Can you run hard for most of 60 minutes?
  • Do you want to improve your speed or endurance?
  • Have you already felt the thrill of crossing the finish line and now, your goal is to do better than before?

WOW Sunday workouts are geared to novice to intermediate women athletes. Here are the Sunday Group Expectations:

  • Able to move for 60 minutes without stopping (pace is not an issue). Walkers, runners, run/walkers all welcome!
  • Set realistic fitness goals and commit to them with the aid of our certified club and coaches
  • Become a part of the WOW Community - Share your strengths with us and help your teammates to succeed also.


Workouts at Sawyer Camp will always include:

60 minutes or more at a fast clip. Meets every other Saturday, year-round.

Goal oriented training workout focused on mid-distance speed (3 - 9 miles).

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled

Additional notes: The first visit is free. After that, we usually will transfer your payment to another workout if you notify us that you are not coming. Talk to us!

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
