Join Coach Stephanie for Go WOW Team New Member Orientation and last chance to sign up for the training program that takes you from novice to accomplished at the Oakland Run Fest in March and on to the See Jane Run Half Marathon in June, 2013!

Orientation for new WOW Members

When: Jan 4, 2013, 9AM - 12 Noon Orientation open to all includes talk from Coach Stephanie and shoe clinic (with discount shopping). You will have an opportunity to sign up for training at this time if you are not already registered.

Where: 5817 College Avenue, Oakland

Why: To meet the Coach and staff and learn what training is about. Today's orientation is free if you still haven't made that commitment.

9 - 11:00 - Coach Stephanie welcomes you to 2014 and the best training around! Go WOW Team Training! (http://gowowteam.com/2013-training-programs/) Your first 2 hours will be spent in meeting your leaders and team-mates and learning about Go WOW Team and our training program for novice to intermediate women.

11:00 - 11:30 - A time to ask individual questions, sign up, or try on shoes with See Jane Run's staff

11:30 -12:00 - Coach Stephanie will continue the orientation with a fun run, practice workout so you know the ropes for tomorrow's First Official Day of Training for Go WOW Team.

During our FUN RUN we will break into pace groups and test our new learned technique

Group One will walk hard walk easy at 30 secs hard, 1 1/2 minutes recovery

Group 2 will practice running 1 minute and walking 1 minute

Group 3 will practice running 4 minutes and walking 1 minute

Tomorrow's (Sunday's) training includes all WOW Team members, old and new. By the time you leave today you will be ready for the rest of the festivities and additional training taking place tomorrow and every Wednesday and Sunday until race day!

I'll see you tomorrow, Sunday January 5 at 9AM for your first true WOW Workout!

Already an experienced runner? Our 12 week half marathon program will guarantee that you will get faster, if you stick to the plan. If you are already running at least 3 hours a week (pace doesn't matter), you can get faster!

Starts January 5 - March 23 for the Oakland Half Marathon. Then, keep training with us for See Jane Run On June 22.
