Post I/O Meetup Summer 2014 - Google technologies

Hopefully everyone is back from vacation and ready to go over all the new Google technologies with us. This will be a jam packed meetup.

We'll cover one of the hottest technologies to come out of Google I/O end of June - #AndroidWear . We'll have on hand both the LG #GWatch and the Samsung #GearLive to try out yourselves. In addition, I will bring a sample demo app of an Android Wear watchface so you may jump right in to creating wear apps.

#Polymer ! Who is excited about Polymer? We are. We'll go over this new library set of web components and how moving forward this will change how the web is developed.

Design! Calling all designers. The new Android L focuses a ton on design characteristics. We'll cover what this means for current Android developers, designers and go over the key differences from KitKat.

Android Studio is now Beta! Still using Eclipse? No problem. We will go over the differences and how both environments can co-exist if you want them to as well as what sets Android Studio apart.

#Cardboard! You may have seen or heard about this nifty Google contraption. It's like Occulus VR only - different. Come see a demo of Virtual Reality glasses in the form of your smartphone and well, cardboard.
