What's new in Android M (Marshmallow)?

Details
Marshmallow, or Android 6.0, is the latest release of the operating system for Android smartphones. A developer preview was announced earlier this year at Google IO, but the final version was just made available to regular users. As usual when a new major version of an operating system is announced, there are lots of new features and changes that will affect everyone, from end-users to the app developers. We will look under the hood of the new Android version and check out the new features, APIs and the changes in tools that comes with all these updates. For those that are more interested in UX and design, we will also take a look at the updates to Material Design and what to think about as a designer.
