GlassFit™ is ready for a soft launch and testing. As some of you know I am trying my hand at a fitness app for glass. I'm calling it GlassFit and if you have Glass, I want you to give it a try (http://glassfit.org/) and give me some feedback. Right now the flow is very simple, you login with your Google account at glassfit.org and you are sent a welcome card.
You can pin this card to your timeline for easy access.
    Be sure to stretch,
    Choose your intensity,
Note that the screen timeout is not a bad thing since I want you to focus on your workout. Everytime you get a notification simply look up (if you have that enabled) to see your next workout in the queue.
    Happy GlassFitting.
    Cheers,
    Noble

    p.s. Remember the feedback part.

Hi Darius, This is a great suggestion. That is why my idea (which I realize was not well presented) goes both ways. It offers women to get information on locations, but also contribute through the glass, since in my quick search and talking to moms, is hugely lacking. The win is that wearable tech is great for busy moms and those who support breastfeeding to quickly contribute locations, photos and possibly suggestions where moms can breastfeed easily. You hit the nail on the head, data acquisition is key!

That's great. One question that might be asked: Does the displayed information have any real-time relevance to the user? Or even a doctor watching the subject in real-time?

      June 18, 2013

    • Det A.

Yes, it's real-time allowing a doctor to work with his/her subject.

Well attended and lots of interesting ideas

It was good meeting everyone and hearing so many great ideas. Having biometric monitors on the devise itself would be very useful and should be a priority.

To all - it was a delight to meet you all and share the brainstorming time with you around Glass and its implications for health and health care. It sounds like we will have a Glass app for those with hearing deficiencies in NO time!
Thank you to SilicaLabs, Antonio Z, Ted E and the amazing team at KP for hosting such a lovely, inspiring evening. We are all better, healthier people for your efforts.

Hello everyone. Everything's on track (except that some of us are waiting for our magic email :)). Just summarizing the #ifihadglass pitches we have so far and seeing who else is willing to do one.

    So we have:

    - empowering patients and families - Jess Jacobs
    - public/community health - Nina and Carolyn

    I'd like to suggest 2 more :

    - medical care/exam room/hospital experience - I think we can find one of our physicians for that

    - medical education/recertification - is anyone in med ed and would they like to do this pitch?

    - Any other ideas for 60 second pitches? How about workplace health or school-based health?

We can leave a few spots for in-the-moment.

These are just so we can set up small interest groups and bring some devices around for people to imagine with after the main demo.

Have another commitment that now takes precedence. Hope there's some good discussion here though!

Hello everyone! We are seeing a great response and are planning our activities for the evening. I'd like to run by the agenda that we've worked up and we need YOUR ideas on areas of health that you'd be interested in hearing about.

    Here's what we're thinking:

7 - 7:15 eat (grab healthy food and start eating - this is Center for Tota l Health :))
7:15-7:25 Glass overview by Antonio (who did it so awesomely last time). Big screen front of room.

THEN, we want to allow people to form groups of interest around the Center, including a real live exam room, and maybe a little telehealth demo to California.

To start that, we would like 5-6 people to get up after Antionio and give a 45-60 second "If I had glass" pitch. For example, "If I had glass, I would use it to improve cultural humility in the exam room"

Thoughts? Ideas for these? add them here. PS the hug timer will be in operation...
