that a) because you did not ask to be born (as far as we can tell), to ask you to pay for your existence is double-billing, particularly when there are plenty of resources squandered daily to meet everyone's needs b) that allowing poverty, homelessness, hunger are particularly absurd if we are to call ourselves an evolving, civilized, conscientious society. and finally that c) government is at best a necessary evil as spelled out by so many philosophers, federalists, anti-federalists and freethinkers of every stripe.
basic needs (RIGHTS) would consist of
3-protection from nature
b)requirements for being able to use those primary necessities in order to build a "life"
c)that without which anyone else may easily infringe on your other rights
1-freedom of expression
2-freedom of movement
3-right to privacy
beyond this is the realm of Privilege; that granted by government and society according to the limitations of resources and logistics.
