Why start a group for solo grandparents?. (and you don't actually have to be a grandparent to join - it is just a title to define a group of caring fun loving people!)
Well this is why, I am a grandparent who works in the voluntary sector. I am an active person, with work and family commitments, yet finding time for fun, theatre, singing, etc. I enjoy many activities but having many married friends. I sometimes find myself wishing I had someone to share experiences with. I notice many others alone at events and decided to try bringing some of us together.
If you can't attend our first meeting, email me. If you are a caring, sociable, senior single, who is not a grandparent, you will be just as welcome.
Several people I met at the ballroom and Tango Al Fresco outdoor events in Regent's Park, have promised to come along to our first meeting, so I hope you will join us too.
I look forward to hearing from you.
