A comparison of GraphDBs and query languages!

The two most commonly asked questions at GraphTO are:

  1. "What graph database should I use for problem XYZ?"
  2. "Which query language is better?"

On Wednesday June 19, Olivier Yiptong and Darrick Wiebe will be presenting an overview of the kaleidoscope of databases and query languages that industry is using today.

Gates open at 6pm, presentations start at 6:30, and we can again make our way to the Charlotte Room to keep the religious debates going from 8:30.

Hope to see you there!

-David

PS - Yes, to answer the third most commonly asked question: beer will be provided.

Will the slides for this be posted anywhere? Or will it be recorded? I just realized I can't make it, but I am very interested in this topic!

Lookin' forward to it!.. After the excellent Neo4j @ Project RHINO session by David Colebatch and the rest of the all-star team, i am now intrigued about the graph stuff. It'll be interesting to see the language comparisons!

Which are the GraphDBs and which are the query langs that will be discussed?

    May 9, 2013

    • David C.

      Hi Marius,

I'll leave the details for Olivier and Darrick to comment on closer to the date, but as I understand it we'll include Neo4j, Orient, Dex, Titan etc. as well as Pacer, Cypher etc.

      HTH.

:D I was beginning to suffer from GraphTO withdrawal for a bit there. The shakes were getting worse, but I think I can manage until May 23!
